I Cried Today

I had to discipline my 8yr old this morning for something he did that was wrong. After speaking with him I applied the rod of correction and told him we loved him.

When he left our bedroom, I lay my head on my hubby and cried. I understand then the saying that I've heard quoted that parents would sometimes say "It hurts me more than it hurts you."

Then I thought to myself, is that how much it hurts God when He has to discipline us? What do you think?
