...How do you greet your husband after a separation (anything from just the afternoon to several days away)? What does it say about how you feel about him? What would you like for him to know? How could you show that?
A smile is the universal welcome.

I always greet him with a hug and a kiss!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you! Dropped in from SITS...
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I always give a hug and kiss when we reunite. Even when he works late and if I'm sleeping, he still comes in to make sure I know he's home and gives me a hug. We've been together a number of years and I know we'll still be doing it when (&if) we're 90.
ReplyDeleteIt's those little things that further cement the bond.
My hubby and I have worked different shifts for years... sometimes, the only contact we have is a hug hello and a kiss goodbye. A cheerful, loving greeting (and subsequent farewell!) are intrinsic to our relationship!

When Mike comes home from work for lunch I try to run outside and hug him. Silly but he loves it. He usually picks me up and I yell "put me down!! the neighbors are watching!" to which he'll answer "So what will they see? Two people in love." LOL...yep...every.day.
ReplyDeleteI love it when my wife greets me with affection.
ReplyDeleteI always have a smile and a "Howdy!" to share, even with the Grinches in my life...
