Generous wife tip

Excellent tip today from Lori. Sharing our life does not stop when we get married. In fact we should be making an even more conscious effort to do so considering the many responsibilities that come with having a family.

Here's Lori:
My husband and I went to a conference recently. We love learning together and when we can we do, but often there is just too much material to cover or desired workshops conflict, so we end up splitting the work load and then sharing the "good stuff" with each other later. It's rather fun to share and it really keeps me sharp because I will need to communicate well and accurately what I have heard/read.
I encourage y'all to share on a regular basis what you are reading, listening to, or watching. It's a great way of connecting with your husband and you get to spread the learning around as well.

You learn something every day if you pay attention. Ray LeBlond

  1. Sharing keeps you communicating with one another. Once the kids come it can be so easy to set that time with your spourse aside in view of the kids' needs!

I would love to have you join us on Monday, but yes, being a ministry wife I do understand.

My husband's day off is Friday, and he works on Monday. Share as you can. Even if you're relaxing on Monday you are still Making Your Home Sing! so join us when you can!

  2. You are so right about what happens when the kids come. I read some excellent advice that stated that the kids feel more secure when they see and know their parents spend time together apart from them so we should make sure that it happens. Our boys know that when the bedroom door is closed Mammy and Daddy are spending time together. Also we sit at the table and play games just the two of us while the boys play on the floor around us.

I'll try to join in as best I can on Making Your Home Sing! Monday.
