A full day was an understatement!

Hi all! How was your weekend? I pray that you had a blessed one.

When I said yesterday that it was going to be a full day I had no idea what I was talking about. I got up at the usual time a little after 4am. Spent some time in the presence of God, read from the word and then went to do my Sunday cooking. When I was done about 710am I went to the bedroom with the intention of going back to sleep for about an hour and then getting up to get breakfast done and everyone ready for service at 10am. Well, that's where the plan changed, as I entered the bedroom my hubby's cell phone rang. It was one of his brothers, Junior called saying that he was about to take their mom to the hospital because she was not feeling well again. While talking to Junior, his sister Donna called asking him to go check on their mother, while he was talking to his sister with Junior on hold their brother Steve called from the British Virgin Islands crying asking Dolph to go check on their mother. After talking with all of them, my hubby went to assess the situation with his mom. Our vehicle was more comfortable for her to ride in so he said he would take her himself. He said he would call me from there if he needed me to come along. I quickly got myself ready and put breakfast stuff in a bag along with a few snacks. He called to say that I should come. I finished getting what I could, and added to my sister's 3x5 card of instructions that I give her each day, explained about the boys' snacks for church and told her their clothes were already laid out, they can bathe themselves. My hubby told her to get ready for 9:40am. We asked the Senior Pastor to pick them up on his way to church and then we left for the hospital with my hubby's mom and dad. She was experiencing the same pain under her stomach which shot all the way down her leg. She had thrown up Saturday evening as well. The previous doctor last week had said something about a virus that was in the air that might have caused the fever and so on. Now that did not seem right to me but I am no doctor so we accepted what he had said. When we got to the casualty we waited around abit for them to help us and then we got to see the doctor. This doctor was so thorough I was so thankful. He asked about the things the previous doctor had said and told us just try to forget the experience and then proceeded to tell us what he strongly suspected was going on. He said that there might be a stone in the passage between her kidney and her bladder and that might have an infection. He said that since she had no appendix or womb or ovary then it could not be any of the above. He said that the other thing it could be is that the scarring from all her previous surgeries(she's had over 7) might be pulling on whatever is surrounding it as the scar tissue continues to form and that could also be causing the pain. He admitted her and marked urgent on all her documents. He requested a scan, blood work and urine tests. On her prior visit last week, the health center had written on her health book that they were supposed to have done a scan at the hospital but apparently whatever was going at the hospital on last week caused them to give a wrong diagnosis and not do the necessary tests. I was really happy yesterday that it was this doctor God caused to be there because he made sure all that needed to be done to figure out what is going on with her was done or requested. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. We stayed for a bit after she was settled in. Donna brought clothes, sheets, eating utensils etc for their mom and combed her hair. Donna and I went to get drinks for everyone. Her hubby and son were there too because her son had to have some medical attention given to some mosquito bites on is leg that were oozing(sorry for the graphic). Then not too long after their brother Junior came as well. A friend and neighbor of my mother in law brought her lunch after we left.

We only had time to eat lunch and then we were out the door to the closing program for Vacation Bible School. The program went well although it started late. Afterward we had the church all night prayer meeting. I couldn't stay all through although I wanted to. By about 9:15pm when the Senior Pastor gave a short break I was ready to call it quits. I told my hubby and then we went home. I felt bad about having to leave but I really couldn't make it. So that was my 'full' day yesterday.

My hubby left sometime ago to take breakfast to his mom and to his dad as well. I really hope they do these tests on my mohter in law today so she can leave the hospital. They gave an injection for the pain yesterday so she was not in any pain after a while. When my hubby spoke with her this morning he said that she sounded much better. Praise God for that. I just really want them to find out what it is that's going on so we can believe God for healing whether it be supernatural or through the doctors. Anyway I've gotta go now. Talk to you all later and say a prayer for my mother in law please. Thanks friends.

Thanks so much for your prayers for me and my family. My dad is home from the hospital now, so that is a relief.
I am so blessed to have you as a blogging buddy.
    Love,
