Great news! Double whammy!

I've got some great news to share. After almost a year back home I finally met my other brother Christopher. On Saturday we picked up my brother Joe's wife Theona and their two sons and went to visit my grandparents in Pointe Michel. On the way home I remarked to my husband that we will have to plan to go look for my brother in Grand Bay in about two Saturdays because next Saturday we are baking in Salisbury. Well my wonderful husband said that we are on this side of the island already and he drove up to Grand Bay so we could find my brother. After asking around and getting directions and not so good comments about him we finally found him. It was the biggest blessing of the day. I wanted to see my brother so much so that I could know how he was doing. I'm glad we did not have a chance to call in advance(he has no phone or cell phone) because that meant we got to see him as he is without him trying to clean up and create a false impression. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Alleluia! I got to see my brother!
My bro and I:

Now for the DOUBLE WHAMMY!
We spoke with him for quite a while and then somewhere in the conversation, the Holy Spirit gave me utterance and I started telling him about how much God loved him and just as we came looking for him so the Father is looking for him even more desperately. My hubby and I tag teamed back and forth sharing with him and then my hubby felt the tug of the Holy Spirit to invite him to accept Christ there and then. He said yes and prayed in his own words asking Jesus to come into his heart. Oh my goodness! It was the best moment! He cried. I cried. My hubby cried. It was awesome! God is still faithful in the saving business. My brother is saved. Oh thank you Jesus! Now I am aware he has quite a bit to fight through to overcome his alcohol addiction, his marijuana habit, his intense anger and so on because his life is real messed up but we are praying him through it. Just like God answered my prayer after 16yrs to save my brother He will take him through it. The evil influences in Grand Bay are powerful and saturated by witchcraft but God is the Almighty God and I believe Him for deliverance for my brother. There is nothing too hard for God. Rejoice with me everyone for my brother was lost and is found. He was blind and now can see. And pray with me today and anytime the Holy Spirit brings it to mind that my brother will receive strength from the Lord and the Holy Spirit who now lives inside him to overcome his addictions and habits and develop new habits of praying, fasting, reading and studying God's word, attending church and making new Christian friends. Pray that his reputation in the village of Grand Bay would not prevent the Christians there from befriending him and helping him to grow even if he may stumble as he finds his feet in Jesus Christ. Oh Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Rejoice with me! Alleluia! Thank you Jesus! God is truly amazing! In the past year since He impressed upon me to pray daily and fast once a week for my father and siblings to be saved I've seen my two sisters and now one of my brothers get saved. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness. Thank you Lord! My faith in the power of prayer to the Almighty God has received a tremendous boost. Alleluia! I just can't stop praising Him. This is a wonderful blessing. Anyway I'll stop going on and on and say don't give up hope for your loved ones. 16 yrs is a long time to be praying for someone but the blessing of answered prayer is worth it. At times it may seem like the person is getting worse like my brother looked but don't give up. Just like I received the answer to my prayer so you will receive yours if you are faithful in prayer to God. God is a faithful God and when we pray according to His will like He says in 1 John 5:14 & 15 He hears us and we have what we ask of Him.
1 John 5:14&15 - Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
