TO MY BOYS JUDAH AND JEREMIAH!
Judah turns 6yrs old today and Jeremiah turns 5yrs old today.
Just bear with me as I go down memory lane.
For Judah's birth I had no pain. We were living in New Orleans at the time at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. My hubby came home for lunch and while we sat at the dining table I felt a flood of water between my legs. I wondered what was going on when I put my hand on it and smelled it there was no smell of pee so we figured out that my water broke and we went to the hospital. I lay there for quite a while and my body refused to dilate any further so they gave me ptocin(not sure of the spelling) to help induce me. They gave me an epidural as well so I felt nothing. According to their machines the contractions were strong enough for me to be fully dilated and having this baby but nothing. Then Judah's heart kept going up and down with each contraction and that was not good so I had a c-section. That was September 16 2002 at about 11something pm.
With Jeremiah's birth I remember asking the Lord to know what it felt like to have contractions. I said Lord not too much pain but I would like to know what it feels like. So asked so done, I felt contractions on September 15 2003, my hubby and I kept walking around campus timing how far apart they were etc. When they came close we called dear friends of ours and they took us to the hospital. Again my body refused to dilate past a certain point no matter how much ptocin(again not sure of the spelling) they pumped into me. I thought this child would have been born the day before his brother's birthday but he kept on until the early hours of the next morning September 16 2003 about 458am when they finally decided to take him out by c-section. And that's the story of how they came to be born on the same date one year apart. Incidentally they had the same due date as well(October 2nd). How cool is that! God definitely has a plan and I can't wait to see the full manifestation of it in their lives.
Happy Happy Happy Birthday to Judah & Jeremiah! September birthdays rock~
ReplyDeleteOhhh! That is such an amazing post! Thank you for sharing the boys' birth stories with us!
ReplyDeleteI'm only 20 weeks along in my pregnancy, and I'm already thinking of what the birth will be like!!
Happy Birthday to both of your boys! How neat that they were born on the same day (a year apart)!
Hi Jennifer! My "The Narrow Path" blog is actually a kind of new one (started in April). I have come to find Blogger so much easier to use than Homeschool Blogger so I made the change.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your two blessings!!!

Hi Jenn,
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, oh, tell the boys a 'Very Happy Belated Birthday' for me. :)
Yes! It is wonderful that the boys share a birthday 'and' are so close in age too.
With a wonderful, attentive mother that is truly 'investing' her life in her boys, as opposed to simply 'spending' it with them, you, Jenn, are sure to see the fruit of your labors which in time will ultimately be a crown and blessing for you and testimony for God.
Many blessings Jenn to you, your hubby and the boys!!!
