Installment #3 of 100+ things to do in Dominica:
21. View the Twin Falls at Trafalgar
Take the short drive from Roseau to Trafalgar. From the interpretive center there is and easy 15 minute path to a sheltered viewing of the magnificent Mother and Father falls.
22. See Hot Springs at Wotten Waven
It's just across the valley from Trafalgar. Many sulphur springs are found here. Some are VERY HOT. Walk the road between Wotten Waven and Trafalgar. Then soak in a natural hot water tub, dip into a sulphur mud pool or admire the sparkling waterfall.

23. Choose your track to Middleham Falls
This spectacular can be accessed from two trailheads. Start from either Cochrane(turn inland by the Old Mill Cultural Center) or near Laudat. Take your bathing suit. Allow half a day or more to enjoy.
24. Swim up the Titou Gorge
It's easily accessible by car and is at the trailhead to the Boiling Lake in the village of Laudat. There is a strong current up this narrow lava-formed gorge to an interior waterfall. Experience hot and cold waters in this deep canyon.
25. Stroll or drive to Freshwater Lake
You can walk or drive to Freshwater Lake, Dominica's biggest lake. Start near the village of Laudat. Admire the gorgeous views in the valley below and out to sea. This lake is also a major source for hydro-electricity.
26. Hike up to Boeri Lake from Freshwater Lake
From the northeast side of Freshwater, follow the trail up to Boeri. At 2,800 feet it is the highest lake in the country. It is deep, rain-filled and cool. Take a dip if you dare!
27. Trek to the Boiling Lake
This challenging trail from Laudat will lead you past the sulphurous Valley of Desolation to the famous Boiling Lake. A guide is a must. Pack a hearty lunch.
28. Ride above the rainforest
Rain Forest Aerial Tram in Laudat will take you on an airborne journey through and above the rainforest. Naturalist guides will explain features about flora and fauna found in the canopy. Discover more about Dominica's pristine natural beauty!
29. Snorkel at Champagne
South of Pte. Michel is a stairway that leads down to a rocky stretch of beach. Bubbles formed from volcanic gases are just offshore to the south of the beach. Ask for directions.
NOTE FROM JENNIFER: I could actually hear the water around me fizzing just like I was inside a giant champagne bottle. It's really cool.
30. Soak in a sulphur spring at Soufriere
Teh waters may look murky, but you won't regret a soak. A flowing spring is retained in a large man-made pool. This protected site also has a short hiking trail, toilets and change rooms.
