My husband has been wrestling with code all day (doing some fine tuning on the new systems for the generous lists). It's not his favorite thing and so it's generally a stressful thing. I've tried to make his day easier, being available to help, taking care of stuff around the house, being generally sympathetic, running interference when need be, etc. It won't make working with code any easier, but it's nice to be able to take the pressure off and make his day a little nicer.
When your husband has a similarly trying day, I encourage you be understanding and helpful where you can and encourage him as you are able. It's so nice to be cared for when you are struggling with hard challenges.
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.

HEY, LADY! I HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GOOD WEEK. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Jes
ReplyDeleteI sure am. Hubby is preaching at a week of revival meetings in the city.
This is a good tip. My hubby is stressed most of the time lately with job pressures, layoffs, etc. I am trying to be much more supportive!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from SITS. I LOVED what you said over there in your comment. Wise words!
ReplyDeleteHey Pam!
ReplyDeleteGood job at being a supportive wife. I pray that you would continue and be an example to others in this area. God bless you.
Andrea
