The Expert Within is an excellent post written by my friend Evelyn over at Evelyn's Raw Food Journey. Without telling you all what she said in her post, she basically spoke of the need to stop and reassess if you are having health issues when on a particular diet. Here's my response to her post:
Thanks so much for writing this post. It helped to confirm what I've been feeling and thinking. It's not been very long since we have changed our eating habits and I've been reading and listening to so many that there was a point of information overload.
I would continually ask the Lord to guide my thoughts all through so it kept me from feeling despondent with all the conflicting information. Through it all the one thing that kept coming back to my spirit from the Holy Spirit of God was balance.
I have the tendency sometimes to be an all or nothing person and it was good to have the Holy Spirit to keep me from jumping on any one person's bandwagon. Right now I am still 'finding my feet' but I'm not suffering from information overload and I've begun to develop the ability to discern who I should listen to and what I should accept from the many teachers out there.

ReplyDeleteThanks for explaining about SITS. I joined too.
Have a wonderful day!
Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteRaw foods are the better way to eat, it's just that when you have one raw food expert telling you stay away from this food and another telling you that you should eat that same food, then there is confusion. Listen to that still small voice and you will be fine.
You're welcome and thanks.
