Last night hubby and I went to a drive-in movie (yes, there are still some in existence). :) We are trying to build a little "margin" into our life, so that we are free to make bits of time for each other and just generally be spontaneous. I realize that children, work and other responsibilities can make this a challenging choice, but I encourage y'all to look for creative ways of making time for your spouse (for example, instead of a drive-in movie, you could watch a rented movie after the kids are in bed). Brain storm with your husband about the things that you might enjoy doing together and then ask yourselves how you can make that happen.
(True funny ... while we were waiting for the movie to start a young boy stopped to talk and, in the middle of talk about other similar movies and the beauty of the sunset, mused how odd it was that people "as old as we were" would be interested in such a movie (action/comic book). LOL, I guess I am now officially "old.") :)
