My boys saw both of their uncles leaving the island on Saturday. My brother Josiah and my brother in law Ivon left on Saturday. Ivon spent five months with us and we miss him already. On Sunday when we were sitting at the table eating breakfast I heard him coming down the steps. Of course it wasn't him or anyone but I guess it had not really sunk in that he had left the island to go back to St. Maarten. On the way home from the airport we played the part of tourists and took lots of pictures of flowers, plants, a river, houses etc along the way. I plan on doing a series of posts about Dominica so you will see those pictures we took and some more when I do that.
Here are the airport pictures:
Pictures with my brother Joe. I am so happy about those. This is our first picture together as adults. It blessed my heart so much. I really love my brother. I pray for him every day.
Pictures of Ivon and family:
On the way home we dropped off my father in law at his garden and ate some bananas and cane. My hubby peeling the cane:
I also got to see my mother in law's crop of cabbage that she plans on selling in the market when they're ready:
Late Saturday afternoon we went to my sister in law's home for the usual Saturday baking. I had to leave just before 7pm because I had practice for our Ladies Ministry events on Sunday. We are celebrating our 4th anniversary. The next post will have pics of that. It was really an exciting time. And that was my Saturday.
