As promised in the last post here are scenes from the skit put on by the ladies ministry. The Ladies Ministry is named "Women Of Virtue" so it was quite appropriate to choose the Proverbs 31 woman as our portryal. Here are scenes from the skit:
Bringing her food from afar - VS 14
Meeting with the real estate agent and appraising the property - VS16
Giving her labourer instructions for planting the vineyard - VS 16B
This is me reaching down to pick up the weights to strengthen my arms - VS 17
Reaching out to the poor and needy - VS 20
Making an appointment with the merchant and delivering to the merchant - VS 24
Opening her mouth with wisdom in the midst of a group of ladies - VS 26
Her children and husband praising her - VS 28&29
The whole cast reciting VS 30-31:
Apparently my paparazzi(photographer) did not capture all the scenes so a few more verses that we depicted are not shown here - Vs 15 - with a rising from bed scene and cooking in the kitchen, vs23 - her husband sitting among the elders being shown respect. Also if you notice each portrayal of the Proverbs 31 woman was played by a different person. It gave more variety and also showed that the Proverbs 31 woman can be anyone of us as women.
I had fun directing this skit just like the time we did one for Resurrection Sunday. I was also the narrator. I seem to be enjoying this whole dramatizing scenes from the Bible thing so much that I may just make it one of my many ministry involvements and think of a skit for every occasion that we have at church. Whether I actually do this or not depends as usual on the Lord's leading but it sure was fun. We had humor interwoven as different persons portrayed their characters. The difference with this skit is that there were no lines to rehearse so each person made up their lines as they went along. This made for some pretty fun and interesting parts. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Everyone who attended both services - morning and night reported having a great time both saved and unsaved persons. I hope you enjoyed being with us through these posts.
