I pray everyone had a blessed weekend. My weekend was different. The older of my younger sisters - Hannah - came to spend the weekend with us. I love this girl so much. She is a teenager. She brought news that made my heart glad. She had previously made a profession of faith and now she tells me that she is preparing for baptism. This is just the best news ever - to know that my sister will be walking with the Lord from her youth. She will be spared many of the things that other teenagers go through as she continues to make right choices like this one. Thank you Lord!
On Saturday we went to Salisbury to bake bread at my sister in law's house as usual. Since we were going to be having lunch at her house the next day we cooked mostly baked foods to utilize the already heated oven. The kids fell asleep on the way home.
On Sunday my hubby preached at his sister's church in Salisbury. The service was a blessing. The church recognized birthdays and anniversaries and honored a lady who reached her 82nd birthday and a couple who had been married for 57 yrs.
That really blessed me because we see so many couples who have divorced or who are not happy in their marriages. They shared some words of wisdom with the church.
And demonstrated a bit of the spice that they still have. The church all clapped and laughed as the husband bent over to kiss her. He did not hesitate to let us all know afterward that he can do that because she is his wife and gave a word to all who were living in fornication that they should stop it.
Their granddaughter sang a song to them.
After my hubby preached about 8 or 9 persons came forward to give their lives to Christ.
Here he is demonstrating being in a stronghold.
Those who came forward for salvation.
Then after that about 90-95% of those present came forward for prayers of deliverance.
It was awesome to see the Lord move in the hearts of the people. I thank God that He called us to the ministry. It is so fulfilling to be able to minister to people and see God transform lives.
After lunch we stopped off at the home of one of families from our church in St. Joseph. I discovered that the wife makes lovely yogurt. She gave us some of it. It was really delicious. Then we went to my sister in law's home for lunch. We had green banana pie, carrot casserole, baked chicken parts, dasheen salad, yellow rice and red beans. Yumm Yumm is all I can say. My taste buds were having party. My hubby's parents accompanied us to the service to support their son and they enjoyed the time at their daughter's home as well.
Sunday evening we all went to our home church in St. Joseph. I couldn't concentrate during the singing because there were these pesky tiny insects flying around all the light fixtures and falling down on my head and arms and tickling me. So when I started to go higher in worship I was interrupted and had to be brushing these things off me. My hubby was not bothered by them and kept telling me to calm down but it was really irritating. Other than that the service was good. And that's all folks. Make the most of your day today.

I love the way that the Lord is working in your church. My dd is at a teenage youth retreat this week. It is always a blessing to see these kids when they return ready to serve the Lord.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the pesky bugs.
