70. Ride horses or ATVs in the rainforest
Ride a gentle horse into the lush forest and get a sense of Dominica's primary mode of transport in olden times. At Highride Nature Adventures near Bellevue Chopin, you can also take an ATV on their mountainous jungle trails.
71. Do nothing
Let nature work its magic on you. Find a shady spot in the lush green forest. Or doze by a rushing river. Count the fireflies at dusk. Watch the moon rise over paradise.
72. Go off island
The French island of Les Saintes, Guadeloupe, Martinique and St. Martin await you. Puerto Rico is only a couple of hours away by air. St. Lucia is nearby too.
73. Read local newspapers
Get a glimpse of the latest news on the island. There are several newspapers published on different days of the week.
74. Listen to a radio talk show
Tune into a local station and catch "de vibes" on Domincia. Get a sense of the current events and issues of the day.
75. Collect Dominican stamps
If you are a stamp collector, or know someone who is, be sure to purchase beautiful issues from the Nature Island.
76. Send local flowers back home
Captivate family and friends by sending them a bouquet of beautiful flowers from the Nature Island. You can also tour Green Mountain Flowers farm near Giraudel by appointment and order some there too.
NOTE FROM JENNIFER: Every year a flower show is held in Giraudel. It is a spectacular event.
77. Have an ice cream.
Island Ice Cream offers over 24 different flavours of ice cream.
78. Take an early morning walk
On the east coast, watch the sun rise. Everywhere, smell fragrant flowers, hear plentiful birds and see the mist rise from the mountains. Experience a new day in paradise.
79. Watch the sun set
On a clear day, watch for that famous "green flash" - and make a wish!
