Yesterday was an exciting day for me. Our island was not one of those under hurricane watch for Hurricane Omar but we are pretty close to some who were. Antigua was hit pretty badly with flooding in some homes up to 4ft. My hubby came to pick me up together with his parents and we went sightseeing. It was raining but not excessively. Late Wednesday night was when the strong rains fell and the seas were at their highest and roughest. Below are some of the pictures we took. We also picked up his sister on the way to one of the areas where the road got damaged by sea swells. This was my first remembered experience as an adult of going out and walking in post hurricane weather. It was pretty exciting walking through the sea water on the road and dodging waves coming in from the sea. The boys, their cousin Jemica and their grandparents stayed in the car a little away from all the action.
