What Is Thyme Good For?

Did you know that thyme belongs to the mint family? That's one of the many things I learnt about thyme while doing research for this post. I also learnt that there are about 350 species of thyme. Due to the variety of species thyme is known by many different names as well, among them being Golden King, Silver Queen, Archer's Gold, Rainbow Falls, Pink Ripple, Goldstream, Lemon Curd, Silver Posie, and Highland Cream.

  2. hope this helps you. I had awful bad breath and tonsil stones. Thank god my only friend told me to check Oraltech Labs advice as it got rid of her bad breath and her post nasal drip. I've been following Oraltech Labs advice for about 4 months now and I feel much better, also at work people are not avoiding me anymore so it seems to have cured my bad breath as well, so good luck. 6. Hi, Jenn!!! I've been missing in action for a while, but I'm back online now! I've been doing a lot more herbal stuff, too. We had a big epidemic of pinkeye (conjunctivitis) here about a month ago and I was the "go to girl" for the remedy. The epidemic was so bad and so wide spread that one would have to travel almost two hours by car to find a pharmacy which had the prescription meds.

I made up a tea of Eyebright and Goldenseal powder and became popular overnight! hahaha Honestly, though, boys were walking almost a mile to our house to get a 250ml Coke bottle full of tea to take home and wash their eyes. Local schools had as many as 50% of their kids absent. Pretty awful. Yes, we ended up getting it, but it was gone in a day with herbal treatment.

Good to know that Thyme will work for that, too! We learn something new every day, eh?! ;^) Have a blest weekend!!!

  7. I love this type of information! One of my sons has esophagitus - and cannot have caffeine, chocolate or mint. I wonder if this would include Thyme?

  8. Hi Rebecca!  It's so good to see you back online. It's awesome that you could be a blessing with the herbal remedy.  Indeed we learn something new every day.

  9. I'm not sure.  Thyme is in the mint family so I would avoid it.  I did a brief internet search before responding to your comment and found one article which said that there is a contraindication where thyme and esophagitis are concerned:  which basically means that it is not advisable because it may increase risks to the patient.  So for safety I would say avoid it.

Ryan Gosling, the trend cychle of retro and clean cut revival, long gone are the
