Lacto-Ovo-Pesca-What? Types of Vegetarians

In today's video I discuss the different types of vegetarians and what they mainly eat.  Realize that labels are not as important as good health is but I'm all for learning and increasing knowledge.  So here we go. Enjoy the video.

  1. I wish I could go Vegan but it just sounds overwhelming. I'm a lacto ovo vegetarian but I don't consider pescatarians vegetarians since it means the death of an animal. I know, it's a big argument among people. LOL!

When I went vegetarian, I started out giving up burgers, then all beef, then chicken. I thought I was SO on easy street still having Long John Silvers but I went and bought some - and the smell hit me. It used to smell good but somehow all I could think of was the little fish and how it might look brainless with its big eyes open and all, but who knows what it thought or felt? LOL! Then I couldn't eat it. Vegetarian ever since.

So what kind of vegetarian are you? And if you say pescatarian, that's okay - I know everyone disagrees about that.

  2. Eeew! Isn't gelatin gross? Bleck! I do love red meat though.

  3. Vegan to me is a very giant step and not one that hubby and I are willing to take right now if ever. We'll see what happens. And as it so happens we are pescatarians. We eat eggs and fish and keep away from the dairy. Fish is not an everyday occurrence it depends on the budget from month to month, sometimes only about 3 times for the month.

Your journey is how I encourage most people to go vegetarian - stop one item at a time so it is not overwhelming. Our journey started more abruptly as I shared in the How I Became A Vegetarian Video. Hope your day is going well.

  4. Hey Tiffiney,
I used to love red meat! Now I don't even think about it much. Thanks for the compliment. Hope all is well with you.
