Laundry day surprise

Thursday is my planned laundry day and I planned to do laundry yesterday. As it turned out my hubby told me the night before that there was somewhere he wanted to take me and the boys. So I asked him what time we should get ready for. He said somewhere about 8:45am. So I decided to go to my inlaws about 5:30am and do as much as I can by 8am and then come back home to get ready. The boys were being dropped off by my sister in law's husband from their sleepover about 7:45am. Now if you're thinking that 5:30am is an ungodly hour to be up and out of the house doing laundry you might be right but 5:30am around here these days is quite bright as summer is approaching and I prefer to get the laundry out of the way before the sun gets too hot. Then I can rest, watch tv and prepare for Spanish class.

So I did quite a few loads and then went home. We drove into town and had a lovely drive to Goodwill which is on the outskirts of town. We went up to St. Aroment(pronounced Sent-aroma) where some of the upper middle class and upper class/high society people live. It was really fun watching all those big houses. One of our favorite pastimes is driving by and looking at houses. So that was fun. The view from St. Aroment:

Then we went to another area of Goodwill called Margaret's Gap and that was the second part of the surprise. My hubby brought me to visit the Berean Christian Academy's preschool class and to meet their teachers. This school uses the ACE program that I use to teach my boys. It was a real treat for me to now know someone personally besides my hubby on the same island I'm on who is familiar with the program. Familiar might be an understatement, she went to school at that academy and when she graduated she began to teach there. It's been 14 yrs since she has been teaching that age group there so you understand why I say familiar is an understatement. I had never met outside of my hubby anyone who had studied using this program. So hooray for God I got her home and cell phone number and she offered to answer any questions I have. This is a picture of her giving my hubby the checklist they use for governmental purposes.
Hooray one more thing in my arsenal that I did not have access to before. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. We left hubby in town and took a bus home. The boys decided they wanted to take pictures as we drove along. Here is one of those they took:
I got back to my in laws home about 1130am and did some more laundry. The rest will be done on other days. And as if that was not enough after Spanish class we drove to another place called Morne Daniel on the way home and discovered a whole other neighborhood of upper class type homes. I didn't get any pictures of those homes because I was busy soaking in everything but we did capture a view.
The view from Morne Daniel:
My day was really good. I felt satiated because I just love watching houses and we did it twice in one day. Thank God for my hubby who does this for me. When we got to St. Joseph to pick up the boys from my mother in law we had some of her freshly baked bread and decided to watch some tv. I fell asleep while watching but my hubby stayed awake. Then he woke me up to go home. We decided to leave the boys there since it was so late and pick them up in the morning. So that was my yesterday. Thank you Lord for the many blessings you bestow. My friends, I hope your eyes are opened to see all the blessings that your days are filled with too. Just look around and see all who are less fortunate than you are whether emotionally, spiritually, physically, materially and thank God for all He has given you. He loves us so.
