Last Friday we went into town real early to catch the sale I mentioned in a previous post. Well there was nothing really to talk about and believe me I was not disappointed that we did not spend any money. On the way back to town however we met with the most delightful surprise. My hubby spotted a rabbit at the gate of someone's residence just on the outskirts of town. He pointed it out to the boys and then went to take some pictures. When he came back he got us all out of the car and brought us into the person's yard. Only to find out that this guy actually had a rabbit farm that he started in January! This was so exciting. The boys and I got to feel them and observe them in different stages of growth. The gentleman was so patient as he answered all the questions that my hubby's mom, my hubby and I threw at him. It was real interesting to hear all those tidbits about rabbits and their habits and peculiar mannerisms. Here are a few pictures of the field trip.

After this experience we ran a few errands on foot in town while my hubby went to the radio station for the usual live and interactive prayer hour. We met up with him about 12noon and took the vehicle to continue running errands while he went to another radio station to record the next two programs of Great Truths of the Bible with his brother in law. By this time my hubby's parents joined us. Afterward we went to the One Hour With Jesus prayer meeting where my hubby usually ministers on Fridays at 1pm with the island's renowned evangelist Peter R. Augustine. We ran some more errands and then went to the market to sell some pumpkins from my inlaws' garden. My hubby cutting the pumpkins up for sale while his parents look on.
While there we had the most delicious drink ever: Coconut water(the sweet kind) then we asked the guy to cut open the coconut and ate the soft jelly inside. This is the best ever. The coconuts have to be young(not too young) for them to be enjoyed. Here are some snapshots.

The top of the jelly coconut peeled off:
After peeling off the top, it is cut and then we drink the coconut water from the hole in the top:
After the drink is done it is split open:

All natural sweetness. Delicious is all I can say!
The market is next to the sea. Here is a picture taken at the back of the market where we were.
A lovely Friday indeed! Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Oh I can't wait to show these pictures to my husband! Coconut water was one of the first things he introduced me to when we visited Jamaica.
