  1. Hi there Jenn!

I heard my name was mentioned so I had to come over here to defend myself. ROFL

YES! I did drink my water this week. Instead of doing 8 glasses, I used a 16 ounce bottle and only had to drink 4 of them.

While I know it's the same amount of water - something about having to drink LESS bottles seems to help me.

So, I was a good girl. Got all my 64 ounces in daily except for 1 day this week. Next week I'm going to try and get that last day into the mix. I feel so much better when drinking water.

It helps flush the toxins from my body, and I can feel a big difference in the joints when I down the water compared to skipping it.

  2. Just found out about your water challenge - always looking to improve my water intake. I find it easier when I'm at work 'cos I'm sitting at a desk all day so I see my water and drink, drink, drink.

It's more challenging when I'm at home as I'm up and about all the time. I've put 2 bottles on my desk and my aim is to drink them both in a day. A trick I've found that helps my intake is to drink a glass on waking up -
    1. it gets you a glass up before you do anything! and
    2. it replenishes your body after a night of sleeping.

I think it would also be good to drink a glass before going to bed at night.

Another thing to bear in mind is that more water is needed when it's hot ....

  3. Hi Tasmin,
I do the same thing when I wake up. I drink water, about 2 glasses. Then between wake up time and breakfast I manage to drink another 2. And that's where it usually stops. I've done better because of this challenge and more is definitely becoming a habit.
So glad you shared your experience and suggestion. Thanks.

  4. Hahaha. Promises, promises. You need to flush out all that holiday food as you're eating it. LOL.

  5. Hi Bonnie!
LOL. Yay for you! You certainly put up a good defense. lol. Drinking enough water certainly does flush the toxins out. I noticed my "cough, ahem" stool output was much more this week.

  6. Glad the tip helped Jenn.

I'm late checking in, but yes I did increase my water during the week. I one and one half bottles almost everyday. That totals 24 ozs and it's one quarter of the way to where I need to be.

I've got a ways to go though. I'm definitely going to keep going.

  8. Something told me to measure my bottle and turns out it's a 24 oz. I'm getting even more water than I thought I was. Granted I still need to drink 3 and half bottles a day.

  9. That's great Minna! I know you're still working up to your daily amount but tell me how has the increased water intake made you feel so far? Any noticeable difference?

  10. Actually I'm finding that my skin isn't drying out so quickly in the dry but cold weather we're having. I've been using less shea butter. It can only get better the more water I drink right! :)
